BetterDrives has been established in East Yorkshire for over 30 years. During this time the Company has earned an excellent reputation for quality and value. In 1999 the Raysul Holdings Group of Companies acquired the Company and put in place procedures that would ensure the status of the Company was enhanced. Investments have been made in plant, personnel and IT enabling the Company to expand and move into new areas of operation, such as reinstatement on the public highways, council projects and larger surfacing works to major house building companies. Because of the diversity of work and the different skills involved the Company has been split into three Divisions.

This division carries out the private domestic surfacing work on small-scale jobs where the majority of work is hand lay.

This division runs two Bitelli paving machines along with all associated plant and vehicles. It has recently won major contracts with firms such as Harron Homes, East Riding and Hull City Councils, Costains and Simons of York.

This division handles the reinstating contracts. Currently we hold contracts with McAlpines reinstating on the Highways on behalf of Transco direct labour teams; Freedom, carrying out work for Northern Electric and Enterprise on various utility contracts.
